Why We Soft Wash
Most exterior cleaning damage comes from too much pressure on the wrong surface. Here's how we do it differently.
Why Power-Washing Everything Is a Bad Idea
Plenty of pressure-washing companies use the same 4,000 PSI machine on a stucco wall as they do on a concrete driveway. The result? Stripped paint, etched stucco, blasted-out grout, broken roof tiles, ruined window screens. The damage isn't always immediate — sometimes it shows up months later when paint starts peeling or shingles start failing.
What looks like a "deep clean" is actually surface destruction. And once the protective layers are stripped, your property ages faster — not slower.
Low Pressure. Right Detergent. Better Result.
Soft washing uses low-pressure water — under 100 PSI, similar to a garden hose — combined with biodegradable detergents that do the actual cleaning work.
The detergent kills bacteria, algae, mildew, and lichen at the source. The low-pressure rinse just carries them away. The surface ends up cleaner than what high pressure can achieve, and there's no risk of damage to paint, roofing, screens, or stucco.
It also lasts longer. High pressure removes the visible growth but leaves spores behind — they grow back fast. Soft wash detergents kill the growth at the root, which means the result holds for months longer.

The Standard We Hold Ourselves To
Every job starts with a surface assessment. We identify what gets soft washed, what gets pressure washed, and what specific detergents and dwell times are appropriate. We never improvise on pressure to save time.
Our soft-wash detergents are biodegradable, plant-safe, and rinsed thoroughly so nothing carries over to your landscaping. For hardscape, we use the right pressure and the right detergent for the surface and stain — that's what makes oil and grime removal possible without damaging concrete.
If a contractor tells you they can pressure wash your roof or your stucco, that's a sign to call someone else.
